About T5 Tube Amps builds custom hand-wired limited production tube guitar amps for guitarists that seek killer tone and also crave something "different". Like many "boutique" amps, T5 amps produce beautiful vintage style tones with tons of depth, but T5 amps also incorporate modern features such as footswitchable channels, multi-mode preamps, and the ability to produce awesome high-gain tones as well. The products offered on this site are the latest of my designs which are built upon many years of experience tweaking and building custom tube guitar amps. These designs are unlike most others on the market, as they are true point-to-point hand-wired designs using terminal strips in more of a classic HiFi style instead of using turret boards or PCBs as in most guitar amps. Each T5 amp is built one at a time here at my shop just outside of Dallas, Texas to almost obsessive high quality standards using only top quality parts. All amps on this site are usually available on a built-to-order basis and typically have a lead time of around 4-8 weeks. On built-to-order sales, all non-stocked parts for your amp are immediately ordered on receipt of payment, as I don't keep a large inventory on hand. As parts shipments come in, depending on the current back log of orders, each amp build begins asap. While many of T5 amps circuits are "inspired" by vintage designs, none are exact replicas or clones. Since you can't plug in and play the amp from the website, classic designs are referenced simply to get your mind in the neighborhood of an amp's tone. T5 amps are not built from kits, but rather custom built from the ground up utilizing proprietary component layouts, grounding techniques, and optimized signal routing, all of which result in superior tone and extremely low noise and hum, even in high-gain circuits.
